JEMT8 Posted April 9, 2011 Report Posted April 9, 2011 Your voltage is asswater. Is that the new water richard simmons put out? Quote formerly known as Jaylor Swift
CJ18 Posted April 9, 2011 Report Posted April 9, 2011 You really need to upgrade your electrical. If you are smelling anything then I suggest that you invest in an oscope and learn how to properly tune your system. Quote
SasquatchREG32 Posted April 9, 2011 Author Report Posted April 9, 2011 All I've done on electrical is 1/0 all around and big 3. I'm thinking if getting a bigger alt before the second battery. Quote
Socky Posted April 9, 2011 Report Posted April 9, 2011 you really need an upgraded alt, or big secondary batt in the rear. StreetSlappah Posted April 9, 2011 Report Posted April 9, 2011 Ouch on the voltage! I'm assuming your gains aren't set right and your clipping the shit out of it... just my guess. Do as above upgrade to a second batt or just replace the stock one it will help alot. Quote Refs-(b.f.) 99vic, WCA Rusty(x3) Nathan@XSPOWER, Ampjunkielikeme, Bread0710, AmiCreations (s.t.) CJ18 Posted April 9, 2011 Report Posted April 9, 2011 I am running a DC 2k and 175.4 off of a stock 120a alt with an XS3400 up front and a 375 in the back with little to no voltage problems. No big 3 done, just a single 1/0 positive running from the front battery and grounded to the body in the back. A good battery is an absolute must have. Quote

SasquatchREG32 Posted April 10, 2011 Author Report Posted April 10, 2011 My voltage stays around 14.2 if I'm not bumping...I have a small car (1996 Civic Ex coupe) so I think that's why it's dropping so bad. I have a yellow top optima under the hood that's all...Soo should I upgrade batt or get a new alt? I bought an aftermarket alt that's supposed to be 130 amps. I haven't bench test it tho. Quote
