TheyDontWantMusic
i'll measure the other hatch back i have then find the peak frequency on the termlab. Are you happy if i use two sealed 12inch subs to find the peak?

J.Reed
i'll measure the other hatch back i have then find the peak frequency on the termlab. Are you happy if i use two sealed 12inch subs to find the peak? You can do what you want. Maybe you will see for yourself it works 60% of the time all the time lol Sorry loved that line in the movie I Know what I have tested. OVER AND OVER again. I can prove it on more then one vehicle. I got 3 setting in my driveway that peak using this method, AMIs truck which I have personally tested and countless other lol. I would be curious to see results. I am more curious to find out WHY your car is so different. I have found a few that are just weird and dont apply to this method. Everything has an effect on resonance. It would be nice to know why cars like yours are so different.
TheyDontWantMusic
see at the moment all you're doing is making claims. Go get the video camera, measure the cars, play a few sweeps and find the peak frequency on tones. Untill then its just hearsay. You haven't even provided any measurements at all. AMI CUSTOMS
Here is my truck Four different configs but same enclosure, distance to center of glass is 5 ft exactly from center of cone. Comes out to peak of 56.5 hz for 1/4 wave. korey_hofer
there is more to it then just wave length. under your cars resonant freq it builds straight pressure while above that freq it takes over as a wave form More info on this please. I'm not 100% read up on this yet still figuring it out for myself once I get it 100% figured out I'll go in better detail but basically just because you don't have full length doesn't mean it won't play that freq (obviously lol) it just doesn't resonate at that freq and build pressure filling the cabin. previously known as wenn_du_weinst aka fucking internet coward supreme. I talk shit on other forums like a little bitch and hope i don't get caught out on the street.
korey_hofer
also just to clear it up, the measuring thing is to find out the lowest hz wave length your car allows to reach maturity that's it previously known as wenn_du_weinst aka fucking internet coward supreme. J.Reed
My truck measures at 14' and peaks at 41Hz on the dash. Calculators for 1/2 wave works to 40.4 Hz. Seems pretty close to me lol i will post test vids when I get them uploaded. Have them on the camera from a week or 2 ago.
