TeamHT Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 No. You guys are letting marketing go right over your heads. The point was people are buying into the marketing. Dodge/Chrysler is not the only make to have hemispherical combustion engines. It's merely a shape as the name implies which benefits are only a cleaner more complete combustion. Hardly outweighing its higher production cost, increased weight, and poorer low rpm performance. But its a "hemi"...got to get it...same with birth sheets. Clamp under load and then worry about the power it makes. Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

He liked how they sounded, wanted bragging rights, and figured that the extra horses wouldn't hurt.
