canderton01 Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 They don't come with any kind "birth" wattage rating like Rockford amps. They do come with a certificate saying that your specific amp passed a series of quality tests. AQ's are known to do a little above rated RMS, but exact numbers I couldn't tell you. AMI CUSTOMS Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 The aq3500d.1s I have clamped did 4300 watts at 12.5 volts at 1.3 ohms reactive, mine strapped did 9200 watts at 1.4 reactive at 10.5 volts, and I know another competitor that ran the aq2200s and said he clamped it doing 2700 watts at .7 ohms reactive at 12 volts. Also those above are on clean non clipping oscoped signal. And just another number for ya, mine strapped at 2 ohms reactive 6.5 ohms did 5500 watts at 14.4 on a square wave. Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
