EdgarG0721 Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 Is it bad to mount the amp directly to the box. If it is why I have seen people use washers when they do it ....... And what would be a good place to mpunt it does it have to be away from all the vibrations coming from the box?
TeamHT Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 Some amps aren't built to handle the vibrations and some setups don't vibrate as hard as their owners think, LOL. I prefer to mount in custom locations since my vehicles are normally sound and show oriented. You do want to provide it with enough air to breathe though Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
Supercharged DCs Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 My old Kicker Kx1200.1d amplifier was mounted on my box for 8 months, never had a single problem with it. It's still running strong in my cousins truck... Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012.

UNDER-CONSTRUCTION ''Old School Build'' maybe it sounds like an 18 cause theres 3 fucking "port" holes ghetto drilled in the "box" 190 db when your done? Yea that's the lowest decibal ill be satisfied with when I'm done like I said its stage one and I lost my job u guys should consider shit instead of just talk it lmao
