Classes are like 120.0-129.9, 130.0-139.9, 140.0-149.9 then 150.0+ I believe, though correct me if I'm wrong.The reason everyone it talking about the highest Bass Race score is it's a good way to just generally tell how loud your system is on music and compare to others that are using the same meter and scoring system.
