Its a daily driver setup and i wanted to aim for an SQL setup. i dont know what an SPL setup sounds like but i like sound quality AND low, hard hitting bass. Will 2 HDC3's achieve what im aiming for (SQL) or should i go with a different setup? Box Specs - 7 Cubes @ 36hz (PS i had 2 Type R's Before. Sounded Great, did get low to an extent, but not THAT low) are they anything like R's? Supercharged DCs Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 I have a feeling your idea of SQL is wrong. You want hard hitting bass that gets low and sounds good doing that in a Daily Driver. Sounds like SPL to me I'd make the box a bit bigger, 8cubes. But that's just me... Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012.
THEKINGsBACK Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 my question to you is.. how are you getting 7 cubes in the truck of a Buick regal? he wouldnt be the first to say they did a 167 with a system like that (one that clearly DOESNT), but i have to say, he didnt beat me anywhere, ive never competed against the guy. If he thinks his does a 167, mine would probably put him in a coma. :hairtrick:

Let me ask you a question, and I don't mean to sound harsh, but do you even know what an SQ system consists of? Build a good ported box for the Aq HDCs and you will be MORE than happy with them. Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012.

All i know is that SQ setup consists of precise subs which hit notes on fast and clean. If you build a good ported box, it will hit fast and clean, but if you build a crappy box, it may very well be sloppy. Bassless once again.
