The subs sound incredible hitting all of the low notes and playing accurate while doing it. You would be more than happy with them. HDC3's will hold there own if not beat any sub in it's class providing that the sub is in the right enclosure I guarantee it!!!! 6 Funky Pup 12's

They are redesigning the HDC3 line so it may change but the older HDC3's are more SPL geared. For starters, there is no such thing as "SQL" that's just a fancy acronym that kids use to try to describe how they want to get loud but not sound like ass. A real SPL setup would be specifically made to play one note, or one small range of notes, and are usually tuned too high to actually be musical. An SQ setup isn't necessarily meant to get loud. The driver will dictate how accurate it's frequency response is, but the output is still has a lot to do with the enclosure. Getting a smooth, non-peaky response is desired for an SQ enclosure. Basically all I'm getting from you is that you want to get loud, but not sound like ass. My suggestion is to run about 7 cubes net, with about 120-150 square inches of port tuned around 32-36Hz. I talk shit on other forums like a little bitch and hope i don't get caught out on the street.
