alehound
I am currently designing a box for 6 RF 15" P3's that will be powered by a T2500. They are dual 4's and will be run in series/parallel @ 1.3 ohms. My question is in regards to net volume. RF manual recommends 2.66 cubes per sub, and I was wondering if it would be ok to go a bit bigger. Say up to 3.25 per sub. What kind of effect might this have given the power being thrown to them? Any input appreciated. Thanks. Quote Patiently waiting until 2016...the year in which I likely get to 300 posts... In which then, and only then, will I finally be able to get me some more decaf... EdgarG0721
I was just asking myself that same question what effects do you get when you make the box bigger or vice versa smaller box what effects do you get on the sound?
blownengine
Boxes on the larger end tend to be peaky. alehound
Ported or sealed? Ported. tuned to 32Hz. What do you mean by "peaky" blown? blownengine
Ported or sealed? Ported. tuned to 32Hz. What do you mean by "peaky" blown? Certain frequencys will sound alot louder than others. alehound
Certain frequencys will sound alot louder than others. As long as its the lows that are louder, I dont see a problem. In all seriousness, should I be designing closer toward 2.66 for better all around response? Quote Patiently waiting until 2016...the year in which I likely get to 300 posts... blownengine
Haha. Do they really recommend 2.66 per woofer? Most 15's i see want around 3-3.5.
