dohckiller808
i never ran one before. what kind of amps are you running and what kind of voltage drop do you guys see? how low voltage can you go before you loose major amperage output from the battery? reason im asking is because im going to start a build on my 2 sd 16ks and im debating on going 16 volts. i remember seeing in a thread that murillo said its best to run a 12 volt system for daily system on these amps. i want to get the best results but want to know what im getting my self into. kirill007
There are a few. But why would you want to do that? It's not very cost effective. Don't run 16k's on 16v. because a 16 volt system charges at about 19 volt. You need 16V batts and 16v alternators to run a 16 volt system, but your car cannot handle that, so you need a 12v batt and a 12v alternator just to run the car. EDIt: and no need to kick the topic 3 times a day.(there is a rule on it.) Edited May 21, 2011 by kirill007 Quote Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for. dohckiller808
ok. i still would like to be enlightened about the 16 volt systems. everything we do is not cost effective. having 2 16ks is far from cost effective. making the most of a system is the game right? Making the most of your system would involve running those amps on a 12v system, as stated. Listen to the crowd. The old adage comes to mind... If you have to ask....
