So how do you like your fleks cableHave not used it yet. Everything is just kinda chillin.It looks nice and is pretty damn flexable.
audiofanaticz Posted February 25, 2008 Author Report Posted February 25, 2008 I had a bit of free time today, so finally got my friend to give me a hand. It was a BIOTCH!! Not really any pictures, but I have 1 or 2 I think. and some misc video of it. Never thought Id be saying this, but I GOT TOO MUCH VOLTAGE!! LoL edit 4 bad pics! You would think the alt job would be easy since the cars a v8, but nope, we had to pull the radiator, disconnect the oil cooler, move the ac condensor, disconnect the engine supports (dog bones), and remove my air box to remove the alternator from its mounting place. Took a few hours. But since it all had to be disconnected I bought myself a new upper and lower radiator hose, and a goodyear gatorback serp belt. Preventive maintenance is the best maintenance. editing vides now.

audiofanaticz Posted February 25, 2008 Author Report Posted February 25, 2008 the voltage is so bad, even when its at its lowest setting for the regulator is nuts, its peaking 15v!!! not constantly tho. I tossed one of my powermaster d3100 batteries in my trunk to soak up the extra juice a bit. but my lights seem to get dim from the voltage verying from 13.9 to 15+v. I want to try a new ignition wire closer to the alternator and front battery instead of a scotch look off a spare fuse in the fusebox, maybe that will stop the variation of voltage. edited videos, uploading them now. I think the first one is 3 small clips in one video, then the 2nd video is 3 short little tests. Should be up soon if anyone is interested.
