I want to set SSF @ 25 and LPF somewhere between 65-80 I have it set to 65 on my headunit (because of how low I am I usually have it set to 80.) I'm thinking 40hz tone to set gain, 25hz to set SSF and 65hz to set LPF. Getting bass into the cabin of a W124 mercedes is impossible. Current setup: Temp 1999 panasonic HU rockford 300.2 for fronts rockford 200.2 for rears rockford 400.1 for sub Leaning towards a 8" in an exponential horn DAMN YOU GERMANS AND YOUR 5" SPEAKERS! Autruche Posted June 3, 2011 Report Share Posted June 3, 2011 Yes, the sine waves are recorded at -4.2, but the test tones are recorded at 0dB, -2.4dB, and -4.2dB. I recorded the sine waves at -4.2 so you wouldn't have to worry about the tone clipping, no matter what test tone you used for setting your gain. Need Test Tones/Sine Waves? Decaf Posted June 3, 2011 Report Share Posted June 3, 2011 subsonic doesnt need to be exact but if u insist, grab a dmm and put it in amp speaker terminals, turn subsonic all the way down, play the frequency u want it set at on repeat (25hz in ur case) on half volume lets say... turn subsonic up until u see the voltage lower... at crossover point it will lower power 3db and depending on slope it will drop off fast u dont need the headunit and amp LPF... youd be fine with just the headunit since its set at an exact number and likely 12db or higher slope already... but the above test works also for the LPF setting Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If I turn the LPF on my amplifier down it gets quieter and if I turn it up the voltage goes up high as hell why does this happen? What do I do? I would like 65lpf,25ssf and ill tune with a 40hz tone. But other than that I need them ALL EXACT because it makes a HUGE difference when you're 27hz trust me.
