greatblack
So i have a fi 18" q, and i dropped it into my baffle this weekend and guess what! there is a crack in the metal right below the surround. On the part that sits on/near the baffle. basically its bent the metal and it appears to be cracked all the way across but not all the way thru. It makes the surround sit a couple of millimeters above the rest. Of course i never saw this when i got the sub and its been sitting in my closet for a month or two. so i'm well past my 72 hour time of reporting a problem with my sub. is there anything i can do? should i just install it and see what happens. OrionStang
Might as well use it, and in the meantime, order up a basket and recone. Because eventually its probably gonna break. Quote SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
Autruche
Should have put this in the Fi section. Pics of what you are describing would help a lot too. Quote Need Test Tones/Sine Waves? Autruche
you can buy baskets from PSI, they are like $40 or so. Or maybe eBay, or look on CACO. Quote Need Test Tones/Sine Waves? Bakerman
I'd put some JB Weld on that bish, or even if you have a real welder, or know someone, just put a bead on it.
Mtnbikecrazy55
JB weld Is the shit. I think if you were to legitimatly weld it it would warp. Who knows. But JB weld would hold it no problemoo Quote I hate long signatures.... ...what the fuck is wrong wiht you you fucking fuckity fuck fuck head...
