Grey_Fox
This will be for my daily driver. My plan is to give the woofer 350-400RMS in a sealed enclosure. Was looking for opinions on which to get and why from people that have or had either of these subwoofers. nickfs442
^^^ This. Type R's are awesome for the price, you'd be better comparing to an RE SE-X. Im sure they are more expensive. But you can't beat the Type R for the price. Quote 2 18's Wall Build Under Construction My YouTube 2000 Mercury Cougar Build Log
3kout
Why only 350-400RMS? I have a 12" Type R (the newer 600Watt version), giving mine 700Watts RMS in a sealed enclosure at 1.25 cubes, and it's a pretty nice set up.
97SSBlazer
I work at a shop, we install Type R's all the time. I really like them. Great price point, capable of getting loud and good sound quality when used properly. Im in the process of installing 5 12's in my Impala Quote lower tuning is just hard. I was surprised how loud 145 sounds at 35hz, and how quiet 145 sounds at 50hz. -= 2005 Tahoe LT =-Head unit: Pioneer AVH-X5500BHSSource: iPad Mini in dash Subs: 2 T1 12's Sub Amp: T1500-1bdCPWire: Rockford Fosgate 1/0 awgSignal Cable: MonsterFronts:Stock Bose for now:)Rears: Stock Bose for now:)MIds/High amp: Stock Bose for now:) 2005 Tahoe Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/172529-2005-tahoe-my-17th-vehicle/ 2001 Monte Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/160030-2001-monte-carlo-my-16th-car-lol/page-2#entry25309381997 Tahoe Build Log: http://www.stevemead...oe-6-15-rf-15s/2001 Impala Build Log: http://www.stevemead...katzkin-inside/

8000watts
I love my Type Rs. 2 on a RF 600.1 but they make everything flex and my nose itch. Can't say much about only 1, or even the RE, but I can tell you that they've been more than reliable. I'd go Type R just because it's something I know. tdsa23
Haven't heard the Re sub but the type R is a nice sub that sounds really good. tonedeaf
Type Rs in this case...they should still be cheaper imo, but meh. Buddy at work says hes running 2k a piece to his 15 Type Rs. DISCLAIMER: This is coming from the same guy who has 23s on his stock suspension on his oldsmobile type car(cant remember the name) and wanted to put my old kenwood 2 channel sub amp on his highs. Lol.. Poor guy.. I wouldn't do THAT (or anything he did wrong for that matter & even though it probably isn't 2k), but they're still some pretty good subs. Unanimously decided, get the Type R.
