tejcurrent
TEJ: I use a standard yellow/tan folder cut into a strip.......it fits in the gap perfectly. Ok, thanks. Congrats doing that in one night, I can imagine w/o help it would be a project. Quote tejcurrent XS Power T3

Earth: I would say after a year of abuse they look great. The coils are in perfect condition. The spiders had some wear and tear where the tinsels been rubbing on them but none of the "marks" made it thru to the second spider and there is 3 on those ones so no big deal. All in all i have to say they held up great (had a few issues but 98% perfect for a year aint too bad, especially the way i "do" my subs) hi meade, just curious, wat did u use to get rid of the old glue on the basket? grinder or something? drlovebangin318s
Well i officially have been beating the living hell out of my FI BTL's for over a year now.....since i got the big show this weekend i decided it was time for my subs to get a re-do. They are (were) all loose and really worked in which i guess isnt always a bad thing but NOTHING like a new sub. These new ones have 5 spiders and the cones are a little different (lighter, stronger). Anyway enough talk......while those guys were Vortexing chickens hoopty box i was in the garage stripping my old subs down to the metal the most ironic part is now i need to go "break them in" before this weekend you think those recone kits would fit in the basket and magent of my blown cvr 18's????just a thought?? emperorjj1
very nice... did fi use ca when they first built the BTL's? Im reconing my XXX's and one had been reconed so i had to deal with the hard to get ca (used a similar grinder as urs) but the second was original the spider came off in one piece and the surround was pretty easy to pull of as well (had to grind a very lil thou) Quote J.
