Hey guys, title pretty much says it all, do the sub that you buy need time to break in, does it varry from brand to brand, such as some don't test theres that's why you need to break it in, i've heard various answers to the questions, if it's any help im wondering if DC's will need to be "Broke in". Honestly any sub for that matter. Thanks guys!! Guess the title doesn't say it all haha, my fail error, i ment subs, little tired here.

i like to let the suspension loosen up before going full power but you dont NEED to do it.

If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.

ive never had a subwoofer related issue in the whole time ive been in the game and i just set it and forget it.

I do understand why some may need it but some of the breakin standards of some companies are bullshit....ie one that says allow 200+ hours of breakin time before playing them at moderate to high levels.

i dont buy stuff to play at baby volume for 200 hours .

With exception of very few subs out there (that you need to worry about spider damage) the point of breaking in a subwoofer has to do with getting optimum sound quality out of the sub when you install it.

A woofers sound will change some after break in but it will do it over a course of a few weeks of normal play too.

I have noticed Kicker subs change a lot after break in. Get lower and sound more robust after they loosen up.

Isobaric - Refers to the practice of coupling two drivers together to make them act as one.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
