So I hop in my runner and my bat light is blinking right away I go fuck. So I stop for gas and pop the Hood and for the second time my wire from alt to fuse is melted at the fuse wtf? Why.

0 gauge knu what ive always used and a 300 amp fuse same combo ive used in every other car with no issue just this 1

id try it without the fuse youcould be slowing the current down and its building up

Ive never had an issue before with same wire its the kca style and I'm afraid if I don't fuse it'll happen on the battery then I'd really be fucked

Ive NEVER fused the run from alt to batt.. and ive never had an issue

it only takes once to burn your car down.

id try it without the fuse youcould be slowing the current down and its building up

what type of connections does the fuse holder have? where in the wire is it melting? how do you crimp the terminals? do you use solder? if so, do you use a torch?

How does the wire connect to the fuse holder?

If it uses a screw type where you just put the wire into it and tighten it, they suck fucking balls cause they tend to heat and melt wire jackets as the wire loosens from slight movements under the hood. Make your own fuse holder or get one that needs a terminal on it and bolts to the fuse rather than inserting it into a hole and using a set screw to hold it.
