BJD3
From what I've been reading, a good screw is one that has a coarse thread and the last ~3/4 inch without thread so it doesn't pull at the wood as bad. I've gone to Lowes, and found that, but I'm lazy. I want one that's self drilling so I don't have to predrill every friggin screw hole. Would these work? Anti Peel and Seal...lol You may be offended by the above. Don't take it personally, I'm just abrasive. 2002 Buick Park Avenue DC Level 4 M2 12 D2 Car Audio Bargain 1600.1 Eclipse CD3200 ~2 cubes @ 34 hz. skittlesRgood
the self drilling screws still dont get the material out of the hole. that material can only go outwards. thats what splits the wood. ive never seen a self drilling screw not split mdf. and ive used some damn good ones. If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood. RooTxBeeR
You need to do pre drills, like the 2nd poster said, the excess wood goes outward. I used 3/4in deck screws and they worked perfectly fine. I'm just lazy and want to find the way out that requires the least amount of work. lol Anti Peel and Seal...lol You may be offended by the above. RooTxBeeR
My bad, I meant to put 1.5". My dad has some bits that countersinced and pre-drilled at the same time, so I would use that bit on the board first, then apply glue, clamp and screw then let it sit for a bit.
