BernyMacs Bagged 1999 GMC Yukon Build Log

Recommended Posts

Whats good guys. Heres my build log of my 1999 GMC Yukon. Most of this has been done from May 2011 to now. I'm barely making a build log here of it. I have big plans for it this year since this is my main project car that I have had since 2003. I never intend to sell this car especially with the work I've got in it already. The yukon is bagged and lays frame in the front. The rear is also bagged but doesn't lay frame yet. Yes the black panels are gone and it looks cleaner now from the outside. I'll have more pictures of that later.

Recent Modifications

DC Power 270XP Alternator

Odyssey PC1500 Battery

Redoing airbag suspension to lay frame (front). Rear is bagged but doesn't lay frame yet. Will have that done soon.

Alpine CDA-9887 installed 7-1-11

Future audio plans

2 Crescendo BC3500's OR 2 Sundown Audio 3500

2 Custom TRF 18's

Memphis Components all around

XS Power or Odyssey batteries in a custom center console all connected with custom tookmaker bussbars or homemade bussbars

Knu or shok 0awg cable 4awg cable, rcas etc etc wiring

Future interior plans

Black carpet (already bought just need to install)

Sound deaden floorpan (Whole car is already deadened just need to do the floors)

Fiberglass door panels and A pillars

Black Suede headliner

ETC!

Heres some pictures of when the car was at Ludikrs Custom in Fontana, CA.

They redid the front setup to lay frame and they reran and reinstall alot of components to their specifications and mines. So far its a big improvement from the last setup. They replaced the front bags, used hydraulic hoses, replace air compressors, fittings, etc.

This is from a few days ago

Some engine bay shots after it was finished. I wanted them to make the wheel wells removeable in case I need to work on the car in the future such as change headers etc.

I'll have more updates soon. I don't plan on replacing the carpet until I sound deaden it first since I plan to do it anyways, get it done now instead of later. After the carpet is in, I can install a temporary setup and save up or buy my new audio equipment one at a time.
