Alex K
im not going to let you guys lower my goals i know what i want i want to cause havoc when i drive by Im starting with 1500-1800rms to get things going.then im going to double it for around 3k rms once i get some more electricity flowing. I hear you guy's and i have been paying some attention,so i know a 150 is not impossible. For those that say my 150 is a high goal . Im planning to get close at possible with a single 12/sub hopefully around 145+db pushing it then im going to double the cone and the power hoping to pop a 149-150db for the box im shooting to have the port firing into the cabin for daily i have 35hz so i want to go around 30hz but for spl/goal purposes i might tune as high at 40hz to be decent. before you do this, I would go to a show, sit in a car, then see how it scores...if its below 150, try and find one right around 150...such high goals after having 400 watts makes me think you've never heard a 150+ vehicle let alone trunk car before... please don't be one of those guys. And you've never heard a 150+db i bet. It's fucking crazy. And hard to achieve. 2006 Nissan Z Track. My Feedback Thread i used to think a band pass was something you were around your neck or something.

audioanonymous
a 150+ on the dash sealed from the trunk of car on less than 2000 watts is definitely obtainable. It might take quite a bit of testing but it can be done. Good luck on your goal. BassJunkie
A 150 from a trunk takes lots of time and lots of money, not going to say its not achievable but I will say its highly evasive. herbykw
I hit a 150 on music, but it was an audiocontrol meter. I have made it noticably louder then it was then(by flaring the ports and movin my amp) But it's with two 15" XLs on an American Bass Vfl500.1. 06 300C 5.7 Hemi K&N CAI JVC KW-AVX640 6.1" DVD DC Audio 3.5k 6 DC Audio 8"s 6 cubes 8" aero port at 32hrtz http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/183798-chrysler-300c-8-build/?p=2731834#entry2731834
97SSBlazer
ok ill be that guy do you have any idea what its going to take to hit a 150 from the trunk? Its good to have goals but you might want to set your sights a little lower. What are you hitting now? Im doing 145's on music from my trunk now, I could probably gain 1-1.5 Dbs if I tuned higher but I LOVE the lows and the aggressiveness. Good luck with your 150 from the trunk of a lumina bro.... lower tuning is just hard. I was surprised how loud 145 sounds at 35hz, and how quiet 145 sounds at 50hz. -= 2005 Tahoe LT =-Head unit: Pioneer AVH-X5500BHSSource: iPad Mini in dash Subs: 2 T1 12's Sub Amp: T1500-1bdCPWire: Rockford Fosgate 1/0 awgSignal Cable: MonsterFronts:Stock Bose for now:)Rears: Stock Bose for now:)MIds/High amp: Stock Bose for now:) 2005 Tahoe Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/172529-2005-tahoe-my-17th-vehicle/ 2001 Monte Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/160030-2001-monte-carlo-my-16th-car-lol/page-2#entry25309381997 Tahoe Build Log: http://www.stevemead...oe-6-15-rf-15s/2001 Impala Build Log: http://www.stevemead...katzkin-inside/
audioanonymous
Im hopeing to hit a 150 on music off a single sub someday. But its a 18 not a 12, and its much more work then just a normal box. And im still woried its not even close to a 150 I see you're from Chicago. Stop in to some of the Sound Mekanix shows and talk to some of the regulars that attend and the head judge. They will help you out. Cactus Sounds USA Team Captain Multiple World Record Holders
