Dude I've seen your amp rack haha, isn't that what you did with the red?

whenever i have seen them, they are wood cut outs (thin MDF) of whatever design and just nailed down. Carpet goes over it.

stencil it onto wood, cut it out, sand/route it till it looks good, glue it to the box, carpet.

i've never done it but thats how i would attempt.

Start out boxy, shape as you move along.

Lol you guys pretty much confirmed my thoughs :P So I guess just soak it in spray glue and alot of pushing around the edges?

Kam311- Nah man mine is 1/4 plywood wrapped in red felt then my girl cut out a kicker sign outa carpet and we used spray guy to put it on the felt:

Well that was a damn good idea my friend! And while we are on the subject of carpet and such I have a question, do you buy your carpet online? If so where? I'm looking for a good price to carpet my build and my usual source (eBay) didn't have very good prices lol

Get the design made or make it either with paper or as a stick then stick it to dynamat then cut the dynamat out in the outline. Just stick the dynamat on the box put the carpet on and your good to go just make sure the dynamat isn't wrinkled or creased because you will see it.

you can also use a thicker posterboard or even hardboard.

Thanks Kam, I get my carpet at walmart lol. Its back by the floor mats but I think its to expensive there too so I'm looking for another carpet place myself lol. Keep me informed if you find one!
