don't think there's enough room underneath it, it would most likely have to go where sprkn_ranger put it, would be very tight there, not even sure if it'd clear on the right side. wouldn't even be able to try/test fit it until i relocated my front battery.

this is what under the hood looks like on mine, more or less.

i sat inside the box at half volume or so when i had just 2 of the 18s in there. it's bad. as much as i love bass i don't even know if i could sit inside at full tilt. probably will someday though lol.

and as long as were dreaming i want 5 alts on my car. lol. even though 2 is pushing it and 3 would probably bog the engine down enough to kill it lol.

Id relocate the front batt for sure if you could fit the 2nd alt where I suggested. But like I said Im not sure how much room you have in that area. And until your right there working it out in person anything looks good on paper LOL. AC is a MUST for me so I would do whatever I could to keep it (but I live in the High Desert of CA where we see temps of 110+ in the summer )

i'm about to rip or burn this whole fucking thing to the ground.

I swear to god, I have flat out the worst luck with subs... had a rattling noise coming from inside the box, found which side it was on, eliminated the option that the enclosure was rattling. Turns out one of the subs was rattling, something inside the motor. Had the same noise with 1 when I had cut them down when they were 18s and had assumed that it was the basket not being properly attached to the motor. Turns out it's something inside the motor rattling. I know for a fact that it wasn't anything in the gap. Cut that one sub down pulled all the soft parts and the rattling is still there. I'm thinking I'll have to send the motor in... als;kdfjadls;kfjals;dkfajdls;fjcna;oiwe

Word of advice, don't let it beat ya up to much, when you get to this level, WE ALL HAVE PROBLEMS!!!! So having said that fix the issue and then bang on until another develops, yes it sucks and will piss you off from time to time, but that is the part of 155+ db spl game. Louder you get the more issues you can have and the more you learn. I know so much about aq woofers after blowing a dozen plus, found out so much about the dynamics of my truck to in the process. You will make it!!!!

dustcaps were a cosmetic thing for me. read in loudspeaker cookbook the shape/size of dustcap and cone can affect the sound. can't remember the specifics. CF are supposedly stronger too (i think)

yea, usually i'm pretty good with tolerating things going wrong... (2 sets of recones done wrong and pretty much having to cover both and a whole bunch of other things that i'm not going to get into). but the thing is, i'm not even getting a chance to actually find anything out before stuff shits out on me. i know i can never give this up, just getting tired of stuff going wrong and having to cover mistakes that weren't mine. thanks for the encouragement though
