Sealed box forward in a trunk?

First off. Don't need people saying ported is better or anything like that simply want answers if anyone actually knows something.

Not really worried about SPL in this question. What I'm wondering is how subs would do in a sealed box sealed forward in a trunk if anyone has even tried it. How's the response? Flat, pesky, did the cabin make a big effect? Was it loud? Was the box bigger or smaller then rec specs?

Just curious. I'm thinking about trying something different then everyone else and wanting to know if there is a good chance in success or will it suck.

Too many variables. Try it. Some vehicles might be louder in doing so. Mine wasnt

It would probably perform pretty well. My friend has a single cab truck with 2 12's in a sealed box behind the seats and they sound good and theyre really flat. this setup would be pretty similar to a sealed off trunk. he was pretty loud but that was probably because its in such a small area.

i think all of your questions wont be answered till you do it. my opinion would be it would be louder, but i have no clue on how it would perform
