Please dont take this as Spamming your thread, but im just wondering why the hell such high compression :unknw: You can only go so fast with a sbc and basic add ons. Im guessing your looking for 11's from car?? Why not lower compression (A LOT) and do a nice nitrous setup? Easy and cheap to install, just play with a wet kit and watch fuel pressure... (Obviously theres more to it) I drag raced with an LS1 for several years got a best of 9.81 @ 136mph. I love my chebies, and racing will always be in my blood. G/L with this project.

I love my staffie :good:

So anti FACEBOOK it isn't even funny

I don't take it as spamming, I love questions especially by a moderator :D, the high compression was my dad's choice, he's an oldschool racer and has always loved pushing engines to their mechanical limits, my dad didn't feel the need or the want to run nitrous, he wanted to do a lot with a little of an engine which is what he did, the cars fastest time so far is a 10.52 @ 127MPH in the quarter mile (without tuning on a dyno), and a 6.55 in the 1/8th mile, we're expecting low 10's from it after we adjust a few things on it (timing and jetting on the carb) the way I look at it it's more of a wow factor when you see this car doing mid to low 10's than another car doing the same time with a big block.

Update, got the first coat of clear on the car :D onto the pics, let me know what you think!

the paint looks a bit porous in the picture but that's because it's only the first coat, he still needs to sand it down with very fine grit sand paper and do another 2 coats, and do the same process again before the final two coats of clear coat, in the end it will look like a mirror.

Hey I just looked at the hood and ummm that big ass scoop is useless?!?!

Unless you're gonna cut the hood after everything is done.

Well whatever you decide to do, the paint is still sick.
