Jeep727 Posted July 8, 2011 Report Share Posted July 8, 2011 (edited) Hey. I am in the process of finalizing a box design for an Fi Q 10". Box design is 1 cubic foot after displacement. The hole you see on the side is where a 4" flared port will attach to the box (port will be on the outside of the box). I want to be able to change the tuning so this seems like an easy option. What I want to know is if you think anything needs changing or if this design looks good. Pics: (There will obviously be a back panel, but I left it off in the pics) And the depth shows 8.25" but will actually be 9" with the back plate. That is a crazy long port and crazy low tuning. you should have another 1 or 2 inch behind the woofer....or the wood will start burning...because of the heat.. Not it won't, woofer will burn up long before the wood. You just need enough clearance for any pole vent clearance, which he has more than enough of.
