i was changing the assy belts on my toyota surf (4runner') and when i was loosening the tensioner on the ac belt the bolt had snapped from being seized with mud and rust. i have searched hig and low and can't seem to find a replacement tesioner. i have been able to find the pulley that goes on it but not the tensioner. the model engine is a 3vz-e.

just a fyi to prevent this from now on.. if your loosening and it starts to bind up.. work it back in and out. it will break up the build up in the threads

If you can get or have a torch and heat it to red hot it should break the bond loose making removing the bolt easier to reuse everything you have and just get a new bolt.

i tried somthing similar at work it ended up snapping on both ends, then i tried drilling it out and rethreading it but then the actual thing snap... really weathered from the okinawan rain and island life
