That's the main downside to my flip out(Given it's a cheap POS), the screen goes nuts when it's playing.

Im looking to upgrade so gonna go with pioneer as far as decks go but not sure if u want to go with a double din or a flip out style deck.

Heres the ones i want to get, either one

Flip out-

the good:

will fit in any vehicle, unlike the DD(for when i sell it or change cars)

security, face plate comes off. then again theres alot more than the deck to steal outta the car

DD-

no need to flip out a screen, more room since the flip out covers some of the AC controls

looks cleaner BUT face plate doesnt come off

Price wise, under $600 so either one i will get

The question is Other than the obvious is there a major difference between them? flip out over DD, or just personal preference?

I've owned both and honestly, I love my double DIN much better. I have the P4300DVD also, and it's amazing.

Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD | Hertz 6.5 | Alpine Type R 6x9 | Custom 200A Alt | Knu Flek 1/0 Big 3 and all wiring | Eclipse EA3422 | AudioQue 2200d | DC XL 12 | Red Oak Box ~2.8 cubes @ 30 hz |

If your going pioneer DD be careful which one you chose. :peepwall:

The 4300 is a good choice if your going with that.

And if it matters I love my DD a million times more then my flipout!
