Between which points do you suggest the 45? i just told you in the post above this one.... but once again, in this build its just because you want them there, theres likely no real benefit Quote 1969 Chevy Chevelle 20/22" staggered Bonspeed Huntingtons wrapped in Nitto INVO's Mechman 250amp cs144 alt w/AVBM Kinetik 1800 main battery/Kinetik 2400 in the trunk Pioneer AVH-3200dvd Headunit (2) sets of Hybrid Audio Technologies Imagine components up front (2) DD 3512's d4 coils Sundown sax100.4 component amp Sundown saz-3000d subwoofer amp 5ft^3 box tuned to 34hz MY BUILD
Supercharged DCs
I can't read the handwriting too well, but if you are stuck on putting 45s, do it in the pressure poInts, which I believe is A-i (A going diagonally) and D-J (D going diagonally) Quote Bassless once again. stipek
Here is the "T" divider using 3" pvc. So it only extends down the port 1 1/2 inches and the port width at the top is 2 1/2 inches. Should I make an extension from that down the port farther or will this be ok? BJD3
If I remember correctly Fecoupe said the flat topped separator is what worked best for his box. Like /T\ but without the leg in the T if you get what I'm saying. Yours may differ though. Like if you took what you had, spread it out a bit, and put a piece of mdf in the middle. In the same thread, someone else said they lost when they did the same thing, and a separator like what you have worked better. The general consensus was a separator made a difference though. Moral of the story? Try it and see what works best. Between the three options (none, flat topped, peaked), I think it was like a two or three db difference. EDIT:I was wrong on a few of the specifics. Read this thread. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/114812-middle-port-triangle-poll/ Edited July 19, 2011 by BJD3 Quote Anti Peel and Seal...lol You may be offended by the above. stipek
Good thread...thanks. I think I will flatten it back out and then put a piece of wood at the end to run it down the port a little farther. I could just redo with the wood inbetween the two Pvc pieces but I'll probably have to 45 the bend because I don't want to choke it too much. Also think I'll do pvc on the two pressure points just because.
