kicker 15" L7

Recommended Posts

hey i happen to have received a 15" l7 as a gift recently i have an amp that will put out 1200 rms but have limited space, i have about 3.5 cubic feet available. sub asks for 3-6 cubic feet. would it be better to give it the smallest ported box possible or a reasonable sized sealed enclosure. which would be louder?

3 cubic foot sealed vs smallest ported possible

thanks

this looks ALOT like a post from yesterday, and the day before...

im not a fan of sealed under most circumstances, but thats just my personal preference. why instead of making the "smallest" ported box possible, dont you make the biggest ported box possible??? lol

An L7 12 would probably get louder in the space you have available. Sell the 15 and buy a 12, then build a proper ported box for it and you'll be happy

i did a 15 l7 in a 6 cube ported box on 1500 rms and it ran like a champ. with the limitation you have on volume id do a 3.5 cube sealed box. just my .02 though. the 15 l7 will be loud in a sealed box too.
