TRTC360
good stuff meade, quick question though, at the end you said he can turn that up all the way and there's no distortion? how is there no distortion on the subwoofer if you turned the amp up as high as it can go before sending a clipped signal, highly overpowering the subwoofer even if it's clean power? you can get distortion with clean power if it's highly overpowering a sub or door speakers right?? Distortion = harmonic distortion or clipping. Turning the amp up all the way until right before the point of clipping gets full power from your amps/HU while still sending clean power. Whether or not your speakers/subs can take that is up to you and them. The speakers will blow if its too much power, but thats a common sense issue if you're overpowering and you simply shouldnt do that if you dont want to run the risk of blowing speakers/subs. He can turn the deck up all the way (to 40 out of 41) and then adjust the bass knob accordingly so as not to blow it mechanically. Distortion starts where i put the dot so no matter what, he isnt distorting until that point. We discussed whether it could take the power of the amp and its been stated its probably too much. Then again, as much as i like that amp, it looks so sexy..........nothing against it........but it dont do 15kw on 12v. I might be wrong but isnt it somewhere near 7500? I think it needs 17v to see 15k. Anyway its still a lot of amp for one sub. Seems to take it much better withOUT distortion then with.
