what subs for 2 cubes

Recommended Posts

I'm starting to plan the rest of my system I already have nice mids and highs on a 4 ch amp lookin to add some real bass :) I have 2 cubes to work with. I'm in a single cab truck removing the jump seat and gonna mount the top half of the jump(the console) to the top of the sub box. subs would be downfiring going with the whole out of sight out of mind thought. not sure what I should do or can do. 2 DD 1510s? or one 12? I know I have enough volume for the 12 but not sure about the 10s? which would be louder? looking for opinions. box would of course be ported is it ok if the port downfires aswell? power will be coming a 1200 watt amp not sure which brand yet......

2 Cubes before displacement? I'd do a single 10" woofer like a DC Lv4 10 or a DD2510.

Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks :)

Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012.

Could get a couple of 8's. Sa-8s or level 2 8, to name a couple

what happens when your CD player skips and you accidentally drop a 22 hz sine bomb at an unholy volume on 7-8 year old subs? Mechanical failure floppy sub knockage on at least 2.

well...as i see the level 6 is compared to a lamborghini.....but a corvette?

i was thinking more like a chevy volt. its cute and new and "hip", but i would just rather stick my dick in a blender.........

Sa-8's man!!!! That's what I would do! Because for good 10's your going to need 2ft^3 after displacements and the port, which will be closer to 3ft^3 gross. Do you have torres box calc.? Because really I can't tell you exactly how many cubes you can squeeze out of there, you may be able to pull then tens off, but if you can't, I'd do 8's

Oh, before displacements? I'd do a pair of sa-8's in a ported box man. Don't let the size fool you, you might even be able to do 3

Either 2 SA-8s, DD 1508s, or DC Lv2 8s OR a single 10" woofer should work nicely in that space. I would not try a single 12 or 2 10s, you simply don't have the space.

Depends on the box man. What amplifier do they have on the Type R's, what size are they, and what kind of box are they in? :P
