RickyFriery97 Posted July 28, 2011 Report Posted July 28, 2011 I Finally Got my XL 18" today! Ordered it on 4/2, and was well worth the wait! Blue dustcap D1 coils Next to my AQ HDC3 18" So its in my tahoe playin, wired @ 2ohm on the AQ2200D, Box is 6.5 cubes @ 32hz the AQ was wired @ 1ohm, same box. In my opinion, the DC sounds alottt cleaner, and handles the lows alot better even on the lower power, but i will be wiring it down to .5 ohm soon im lovin the XL so far! Winn Posted July 28, 2011 Report Posted July 28, 2011 (edited) In the pic if you look closely it seems like the AQ is a bit bigger than the XL in the LAST pic Edited July 28, 2011 by Winn Quote You know how you avoid that? Supercharged DCs Posted July 28, 2011 Report Posted July 28, 2011 In the pic if you look closely it seems like the AQ is a bit bigger than the XL in the LAST pic I think the XL is closer, making it seem a bit bigger. Sexy woofer Ricky, ready to see it on .5ohm. Quote Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012.

thorshammer Posted July 28, 2011 Report Posted July 28, 2011 Difference in hieght come from the spacers used under the basket on the AQ. I know when I switched from AQ I was amazed at how much deeper and cleaner sounding the DC's were. I do know that the boxes I had the AQ's in was too big. I found that a smaller box was ideal. Personally I'd like to see 5-5.5cu for that sub especially with wanting to crush on the lows Welcome to the Darkside Quote

I love my XL 5-5.5cu for the AQ, or the DC? Quote 2014 Chevy Silverado Crewcab 1994 Chevy Full Size blazer
