Digital Designs even need a break in period?!!!

Recommended Posts

I have heard from a couple people around town that my DD 9515 on my AQ 2200 will not even need to be broken in. I know that this sub can handle alot more than 2500 watts rms, so shuld i crank it up right away? or shuld i give it a bit for the suspension to loosen up? what do you think :pardon:

I've seen many people who normally say subs need no break-in period say DD subs need a break-in period.

Make your own decision. Personally, I'd take it easy on them for a few days and gradually lay on them. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

You may be offended by the above. Don't take it personally, I'm just abrasive.

I would play it at half tilt for a few days just to give it a chance to loosen up the suspension, then lay it to that bad boy :peepwall:

I'm sure it will still be nice and loud at half tilt :good:

It would probably be fine without a break in period but I still wouldn't chance it....

I'm not sure if it needs it, but I went easy on my 3515sc when I had first gotten it. Ran it on 200w for a couple of weeks.

Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks :)

Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012.
