Wall enclosure trunk behind rear seat . Advice....

alright boys. i have 3 alpine type R's and a grand prix.. i hate the set up i have now as its space taken and feel like i can get more outta it. i want to make a wall enclosure sub box . i was told that its louder if its sealed off correctly from the trunk. something like this http://www.caraudio.com/forums/enclosure-design-construction-help/352731-trunk-wall.html

now my origional setup is 3 12's firing up words with port facing back of trunk. would it be better if i had the 3 subs firing up and port facing me? . i have a hole in my back seat that comes down. the hole is about 1 ft wide x 2.5 ft high. soo in conclusion the port facing me ( i'd be able to see it looking back trough the hole) would it be louder like that. or wall enclosure better? . my box is tunned for 30 hz . soo it slams nice and low. let me know what you think. my second option would be to dyna mat or second skin the whole trunk to keep the bass in there . I would like ideas from youguys so please post . thanks.

its different for every car and every setup but i believe subs and port forward sealed off would be the loudest. another thing you could consider is doing a 4th order with the port coming through that hole in the back seat. im doing something similar in my car. my build thread is in my signature

thing is with that is i have 3 12" subs , i wouldnt be able to face them foward unless i get rid of those and buy 2 alpine type X's. but i also thought of if i turn my box around and make the port facing me would it make a difference...... being with leaving the subs firing up wards due to lack of space..

So you want to use 3? Whats the impedance of the subs, and what amp do you have them on? I think it would perform a lot better if you only use two, face them forward, and seal off from the trunk. Check out my box build and design (sig) if you want. All I need to do is seal off and it's just a matter of doing it but I never did. When I open my trunk it's louder which means there's cancellation and sealing off should keep all the bass and pressure in the cab.

Or yes, if you like how it does now deaden the trunk and it should make a difference.

final ohm is 1.3 ohm and im using the hifonics brutus brz2400.1d bad boy. and yea im thinking the port facing the opening of the seat should make a diff so the air goes into the cab.
