Thanks for the insight. I think I prob would have got myself in a big predicament. But I will check into it more because the idea just sounds awesome.

what size subs are you thinking about mounting there? if you are trying to put your subs in the same spot your old deck was, they better be some 8s or MAYBE 10s because most decks arent that deep. if you are just wanting to cut it and still leave the subs on a box in the trunk, i dont see that much gain to be had versus just porting through the deck. i jsut did this to my 69 chevelle over the weekend, port firing up through the rear deck.

tapeing the pattern underneath the deck...

What i was going to do was use my rear deck as a baffle for just my subs. Useing 2 layers of 3/4 mdf on the underside and 1/2 on top to countersink the hell out of them and add strength then port threw my arm rest. Oh i was going to do this with 2 sa-10s.

I was talking about kind of the same thing except porting inbetween the subs. Its with 2 12"s. I know itll be tight but theres enough room but it would inquire some cutting

I was thinking of building a box in the trunk and having the the subs/port where the deck is. It might not be a big gain but it would be different.
