KeepItLow91
My friend bought two 12" DC subs in a custom made box from some local guy on Craigslist. The seller said they were level 3's and the box was 3 Cu. Ft tuned to 33hz. The box sounds just right for level 3's but is there a way to distinguish what level a DC sub is by looking at the motor/basket so we can confirm what he has? DurDurDur Edit: I reckon an easy way to tell would be to measure the mounting depth and/or put one of the subs on a scale and weigh it. loganberry
You can see through the spider on the level 2 as it only has a single spider and I believe the level 3 has two...the lvl two is still a good sub though, very impressive for the price Quote My F-150 Build GET ON THE BANDWAGON what if they tried messing with the amps when the subs werent louder hahah jk
WCA Rusty
Lv2 double stacked motor , Lv3 is a triple stacked motor . You would need to pull the motor boot off to tell. Last time I remember I could only see one spider on my "level 3's" hmmm or I may be wrong as it's been a while but that's how I remember seeing it. I bought both used :/ But when I do get a chance to take em out, I'll check the magnets like Rusty said. My old lvl 3 had 1 spider that you could see through, and I believe the lvl 2 has a smaller surround than the rest of the line of subs.
