My budget is $100 or less per pair, so $200 for 4 coaxels. What is going to give me the best combination of mids and highs that are balanced? I have been looking into the rockford punch and power series but I want to see what some of you guys have had experience with. (really need to get rid of my stock 1 way speakers lol)

Front door size is 6x9 but I was planning on getting an adapter for a 6.5

Rear door size is 5.25.

I would love to have a nice component set, but I don't want to chop up my doors yet. I'm not sure if there are stock tweeters in the dash or not.Might try to put tweets there if I can. For now I was mainly looking at some nice coaxels to replace my stock speakers.

Get a nice set of comps for the price of 2 coax's and be set.

A bit above the price you have set but a really nice set of comps that can play everything and sound good doing it while taking tons of power, not many other speakers can keep up with the midbass they pump out.

I'm running the Rockford T1 6.5 coaxials in my car and couldn't be happier, the midbass is simply amazing and the tweeters aren't harsh to the ear, just loud, clean, and sound amazing. Here are the 5 1/4's http://cgi.ebay.com/Rockford-Fosgate-T152-Car-Speakers-5-25-2-Way-120w-NEW-/400232474278?pt=Car_Speakers&hash=item5d2fb6e6a6 and here are the 6.5's http://cgi.ebay.com/Rockford-Fosgate-T152-6-5-speaker-free-6x9-5x7-plate-/300579491787?pt=Car_Speakers&hash=item45fbef0fcb#ht_1447wt_905, 125 dollars sounds like a pretty good deal to me :good:

edit: like said above my post, most people will recommend components for the front doors ran active and coaxials for the rear doors, atleast that's what i've seen on the forum.

Ya, the loan isn't paid off on my truck yet and don't want to do any door mods until it is. I think a nice set of coaxels to go with my 2 DC lvl 3 10's would sound good. I was actually looking at those same Rockfords too.

i'd go with the rockfords if I were you, maybe because i'm biased towards rockford haha, do those speakers some justice and throw some power at them if you do get them please :D

Well I wont be getting them till next month, since I just finished buying all the stuff for my lvl 3s. What is a decent priced amp that would give them justice?

how about this? http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_33003_MB-Quart-FX4.50.html

If you do decide to go the component route, you could always hit the junk yard and get a pair of A-pillars. That way all you'd have to do is swap them back.

If you want to do coax, I understand. Just making you aware of options.

You may be offended by the above. Don't take it personally, I'm just abrasive.
