Help My New Sub Wont Play Loud

Ok i got Soundstorm E Series E12D 1500 Watts 12-inch Dual 4 Ohm Voice Coil Subwoofer just today and i have a Kenwood Stereo Receiver Model 6030, when i hood up my soundstorm to it it plays real low then my kenwood makes a click noise and stops the connection when i turn it up.

Please help

iv already had 2 12" Duals hooked up to it they play fine but the 1500 watt one wont

Is that kenwood receiver a home audio? If so, 2 ohms is likely too low of a ohm load. You would be better off running the sub at 8 ohms.

I thin he's hooking it up to a home theater receiver? If so, then you're probably running the amp at too low of an ohm load(if you have the sub wired up at 2ohms)

You prolly wired it down to 2 ohms, try 8.

...I'm assuming this is one of those old KR receivers.

Is that kenwood receiver a home audio? If so, 2 ohms is likely too low of a ohm load. You would be better off running the sub at 8 ohms.

If its wires in series at 2 ohms, it likely isnt going to work right with that kenwood.

Wire it in parallel to get a 8 ohm load.

What other speakers are connected to the kenwood? What ohm load are they?

I had 2 12" Duals b4 this new one they were both 4 ohm
