Youve answered your own question. As long as all your panels are secured, the only real option is sound deadning material. And how well it works depends on what you go with. But it makes a substantial difference both for road noise, and your audio setup, assuming you are going with a quality product. Second Skin Rep Jon
X2, I think you answered your own question. If you are meticulous you can eliminate a lot of rattles with a bit of foam, felt tape, and some CLD mat without breaking the bank. Quote Have a question about Second Skin? E-Mail me! Armaflex, as in pipe insulation? I assume it's in the sheet form (after all they do make a ton of different products). I'm sure it'll work. Applied behind trim pieces it'll cushion and isolate the panel from the sheet metal and prevent rattles. Quote Have a question about Second Skin? E-Mail me! EclipseChris
Since when does deadening (correctly) affect rattling at all? Mass loading a large flat piece of sheet metal isn't going to solve any rattling. Why is sound deadening so misunderstood on this site... Quote i resolve to be a nicer moderator. Tercel build R.I.P. toadking90
Universe doesn't waste any energy. You can turn a sound wave into heat. Which is what sound deadening does.
