Um...I (definitely do not) have an issue with my DD1

Recommended Posts

EDIT: Just realized it may help some if I state this is for the amplifier in my signature. A Digital Designs M1a.

Are you playing the 40hz track and not the 1k?

Yup. 40 Hz at -5 dB. I also went back to using just the RCAs and it detected a signal just as it should.

Just a thought but did you plug them back in after doing the H/U?

Definitely. I did that multiple times as a matter of fact.

Whats the subsonic at? If its set above 40hz that could be your problem?

Subsonic is all the way to the left at 10 Hz. EDIT: @OrionStang The subsonic has no way of turning it "off". The only way to "defeat" it is to put it at its least effective position.

Gain could be wherever in the hell it wanted to be and I still got nothing. Bass boost is again at 0dB. The "Output Master/Input Slave" switch never moved, and is set to "Input Slave". For clarification, the switch isn't to tell the amplifier what it does per say, but to say what the third RCA jack corresponds to.

It confused the living hell out of me when I first set this amplifier up. lol

There are no other controls on this amp.

You may be offended by the above. Don't take it personally, I'm just abrasive.

Put it on master

I can try it, but I honestly don't think that's the issue. Like on this amp here, there is a line pointing to the jack.

wait, i thought you tested the RCAs to see where the headunit was clipping at.. and then plugged the RCAs into the amp, and checked the amp at the speaker terminals...

dunno if i read it wrong or what, but it sounded like you unplugged the RCAs and plugged the DD1 into the rca spot and got nothing...

if so, you got that backwards LOL you need the RCAs in the amp, to test the amp, otherwise the amp wont get any signal to play something..

edit, i prob did read something wrong there, LOL im just really tired
