JBLEEZE33
i have a escalade and i have 1 set of 6.5 componets in front doors(crossovers, tweeters, woofers) and 1 set of componets in the rear doors and a set of 6x9s in the cargo area.. i have 1 4ch amp.. i have both sets of componets on the front 2 ch and the 6x9's on the rear 2 ch.. the amp is 2 ohm stable and puts out more power at 2ohm so i want to know how to wire BOTH sets of componets into the front 2 chs to have them on a 2 ohm load instead of 4ohm load... thx Quote pioneer avic-n3 w ipod adapter clarion eq infinity kappa perfect 6.1 infinity kappa perfect 5.25 infinity kappa 6x9's 2 boston spg555's Boston acoustics gt-42 Boston acoustics gt-28 Boston acoustics gt-28 Big 3 Knu 0 gauge Optima battery
jmilch
you just get dirtier sound as you drop ohm level ^^This. I dont understand why people wire mids and highs down to 2 ohms, never made sense to me. Unless the said speaker is rated @ 2 ohms and performs well. But that is only a rare handful of speakers. 6berry
it does do 100w rms at 14.6v but im not running 14+v.. so the amp only does 75w rms at 12.6.. i want the speakers louder so i want to wire them different to get the extra power at 12.6v that you get if they were on a 2ohm load if that makes sense.. its a 4ch and the 2 rear ch are running 2 ohm 6x9's and i have 2 sets(4 speakers) of componets on the front 2 ch so i dont want to under power them so much.. im a noob so any advice will b appreciated standard 12 volt vehicles charge at ~14.4 volts so you would be getting 100w out of the amp Quote 1999 Audi A4 1.8T::: 4 - DC Level 3 10's in a 4th order Rockford P6002 on Subs for now (3-3.5k coming eventually) MB Quart ONX4.60 for Mids and Highs Boston S50 Components in Front Boston S65 Coaxials in Rear 40 Sq Ft of Second Skin Damplifier Build Thread UBL 1948 Plymouth

kingleo
Just connect the + of the front doors to the + of the first channel, do the same for the -. Then do the same for the rear doors on the second channel. Then run the 6x9's on the last 2 channels.
