no, the sound comes from the cone, like i put the my ear to the dustcap and that is when it was loudest(not loud but audible)

edit: im off to sleep.

I've got this problem,

Sounded like coil scrape... so took the dust cal off and have a look... it looks as if the former had slightly bent which was scraping on the pole piece. Seems to go for a bit after a good pound but gets so annoying on low volume... tbh when its really low that sub stops moving all together and the other carrys on.

Any one know what causes this? Also that sub one of the coils reads 1.4ohm not 0.7ohm.

or it can be the spider slapping the basket. had that happen to me before. just reglued it, and problem solved with goop adhesive. hope thats the bad part instead of something going on with the coil itself.

How do the Japanese feel about bass?

You know that since 03/11/11

Progene? I just saw that stuff on CNN. They said it makes your junk shrink all up. lol.

im pretty sure the op wont even notice if it gets even smaller.

Definitely not the spider slapping in my case(does it on like 1mm of xmax). I tested a little this morning, it seems to only do it when listening to the radio. Maybe the antenna is slightly loose

And it more like a short quiet growl, but it isn't consistent, it does it randomly from every 5-10 seconds(seems like only when playing radio, I have yet to hear it when using my USB).

bump added video in first post.

95% sure it is an air leak around the dustcap.

Pull the sub and take a look. If none of the spiders are torn free air it on low power. If its coil rub it will be very obvious when you take it out of the box and listen. If there's no noise free air, then check your box for cracks or leaks. If your box looks to be solid, then it may be an amp signal issue.
