Most of how a sub sounds is in the box. I had a 425 Watt amps on 2 10" subs in a prefab box, now I have a 100 Watts on the same subs in a custom made box and it's so damn loud now. I have that on tap for mids and highs in my truck. you can't realistically expect anything above a low 140 with a good box. is that loud for a daily driver? sure is is it loud compared to the guys you see demoing and doing hair tricks? hell no. you have to know the limitations of your gear and if you want every last tenth out of it your install must be perfect. from your posts im assuming its no where near perfect.
