zx10intn
so, i ordered a termlab today and this will be the first time i have ever used one. my question is, how do you find the peak frequency you need to play at for the loudest burp? obviously since i will own it i can test all the time, but would something like playing a sweep at 1/3 volume and having it tell you the loudest frequency played work? kr15
get a sealed box and run a sweep at about half volume...i find that sweeps are sometimes inaccurate, so after your sweep, play individual tones from say 3hz lower then your sweep read to 3 sweeps higher and see if its the same Quote Team Flex Issues Low tuning > God 2011 CALI AS1 STATE CHAMP

Chode69
get a sealed box and run a sweep at about half volume...i find that sweeps are sometimes inaccurate, so after your sweep, play individual tones from say 3hz lower then your sweep read to 3 sweeps higher and see if its the same thats to find peak freq of the vehicle. if he already has the box made just turn the volume 1/3 to 1/2 volume and play a sweep. where it peaks at test the tones in that range on separate individual tracks and see which is loudest. on the loudest 3-5 of the freq tests, test them on full burps to see which one is key for your set up Quote NoFearX18 said: Nick will bang just about anything.....LMAO....pun intended On 4/13/2010 at 9:51 AM, meade916 said: i was like DAMN, Chode is hardcore! he makes james look like a friendly person LOL! trainman0978 said: I dont know who is worse with the buttholes Chode or Big P... dolarbilz
Make sure to write down each test score volume,frequency,db's.. Make sure your batterys get a good charge between each burp..wait 10 to 15 minutes between burps...this way you have a good score and accurate. BenH
The sealed box thing is a waste of time. Play a sweep at a moderate volume (not too high to risk breaking anything, but not too low) to get a feel for what frequency range you are loud in. Once you get an idea, it's time to play frequencies in that range at full tilt. You must remember that your frequency can change with different setups, tuning, and also power. In my experience, more power often times raises the note. Quote 1992 GMC Sonoma 2008 MECA S1 Champ, 2010 MECA S2 Champ
