Im going up to a local audio place in a bout a week to get it tuned with an oscope because i dont have one but for now, i don;t know what to do. I have 2 Amps - 1 AQ2200d and 1 AQ4x90 My box is tuned to 36 hz What should i approxiamtly put these dials all at? AQ2200D Gain - .15v - 5v Subsonic - 10hz-50hz Bass Boost - 0-6db LPF - 20-200hz AQ4x90 Gain - .2v - 5v Subsonic - 10hz - 360hz Bass Boost - 0-12db (2) No Names Dials - 45hz-450hz If you guys need any other info dont hesitate to ask. You need to know your preout voltage and match it with the amp gain. the better way of doing this is the oscope or a DD-1. bass amp bassboost - off lpf-80hz ssf- ~30hz aq90x4 bassboost - off hpf - 100hz usually. Guest Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 AQ2200D Gain - Leave alone until the shop sets it up for you Subsonic - ~35hz Bass Boost - 0 LPF - ~100hz AQ4x90 Gain - Leave alone until the shop sets it up for you Subsonic - ~100hz Bass Boost - 0 (2) No Names Dials - 45hz-450hz *for channel 1/2, flip the switches to HPF (high pass filter) and 1x (not 10x) and then turn the knob to ~100hz (this effectively cuts off frequencies below 100hz so they dont distort, plus your subwoofer takes care of them anyway)* *for channel 3/4, flip the switches to HPF/Full and 1x, subsonic to ~100hz, bassboost on 0, then turn the last knob to ~100hz.* If you guys need any other info dont hesitate to ask. Thanks edit: the subsonic knob on channel 3/4 confuses me so i dont know whether to have it at 10 (make it effectively useless) or 100hz (match the HPF)
mlstrass Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 amp will let you set up a bandpass filter and uses the SSF to do that. He doesn't need it for his set up since he's not running active 30Hz would be fine for the SSF since you're tuned to 36Hz
