For many people, being accurate to within .1-.2 of a volt is good enough. But there are better, more accurate meters out there. Anti Peel and Seal...lol You may be offended by the above. E a r t h Posted September 5, 2011 Report Posted September 5, 2011 I have found with mine, you can have it within a tenth (.1v) one of two ways.... 1} calibrate it for engine on voltage. 2} calibrate it for engine off voltage. If you calibrate for engine on, voltage it reads engine off is up to +/- .4v If you calibrate for engine off, voltage it reads engine on is up to +/- .4v I like mine to be the most accurate engine on, so i calibrate mine as close as possible for that. When im in engine off senarios, I know the reading is off somewhat. Mine however usually reads lower then actual engine off most times.

The amp bass amps inputs are best for the most accurate readings. Just had to adjust mine again, was reading .4 below lol.
