Stinger voltmeter adjustment?

Recommended Posts

Anyone got any good tips on how to adjust them? How much of was your guys one from the factory settings? I tried to set it today and it was only .1 off from the factory. idk will try again tomorrow. i using a dmm,but would a fluke mm be better? i did the big 3 and have a die hard platinum battery with a stock 80 alt. It sits at 13.6. Im thinking something wrong right now. maybe too small wire cause only running 8 gauge for my amp that has 600watts. i am gonna upgrade to 0 gauge with my new setup.

It is calibrated at the factory you normally won't have to adjust it, the last four I have installed were dead on to my fluke dmm.

stinger meter sucks for accuracy. I checked against a calibrated power supply at work FRESH from the cal lab. and you can adjust at say 14.5 volts and then drop the voltage to 12v and it will be off .2-.3 volts. power supply is accurate to 1/1000th of a volt and double checked it with an agilent 6.5 digit meter.

you can cook bacon shirtless if you're not a pussy...lol

not hatin, but am i wrong here it looks as if the amp is not grounded its hooked directly to the battery. it that the way it should be.

my stinger volt meter was off by 2 volts and now I have to constantly adjust it. I've rewired it a few times.

the mm you have should be pretty close imo...
