Thanks man, I just did a quick bench test on the 1000 and found it needs some work. One rear channel has static and the other doesn't work...no biggie, it can be repaired. I'll get it repaired and on the bench, so we can see output numbers. Based on the October 1991 test performed by CA&E, I have a pretty good idea how it should perform. The Dragster DH-1804 may be more powerful, but I'd still take the 1000 any day. I'm having an electrician come next weekend to install dual 20A circuits so I can parallel my 100A 13.8V power supplies and have up to 200A of juice!! I'm psyched, now I'll be able to test almost all of my monster amps at full tilt!! I did a quick unboxing and demo of the LED and will have it edited and online in a week or so. ROLEXrifleman
By chance anyone have a copy of the plastic sleeve manual or end caps for this? It's a long shot but if anyone could dig them up it would be you guys. He'll, even the story of how these came to be would be great. Asyou can see the 25x2 gave way to its twin the next year. WillistonAudioLabs
@ROLEXrifleman I haven't seen many of those RF Power 25x2's, they seem pretty rare. I'm gonna have to disagree with you about any of the Rockford's crushing the others, especially if I can get my hands on a US Amps VLX-50, Lanzar Opti 50c and Kicker XS50... I think even the MTX Thunder 225HO will smoke the RF Power 25x2 or 50x2. It might end up smoking in the end (heat), but the 225HO is no joke! By the way, if anyone here has any of the 3 amps (VLX-50, Opti 50c, XS50) and is willing to ship them to me, I'll test your amp, provide an official OldSchoolStereo certification form and ship the amp back to you. I'll pay return shipping if you pay to ship the amp(s) to me. I'm just tired of buying all of these amps to test, it just doesn't make sense anymore as I have way too many now and can't seem to let go of any... ROLEXrifleman
That's what the little lol was for at the end. I have no dought the 25x2 will at minimum double it's rated output but I agree with you in that it will not crush the us amp. I need to get a line on a decent 100 amp power supply to start my own testing too. Rolex you sicken me. Just let me finish my pie ~ Juice

Ain't it interesting how the model numbers double, but the power stays the same? (25x2 vs. 50x2). If they are high current versions of the 250xx amps, then they should put out over 500w loaded down, so no slouchers by any means... ROLEXrifleman
If the mods of Mr. Mead see this, has an "Old school audio" sub forum already been asked for? I dont want to basterdize the RF but have tons of other stuff I'd like to share. Rolex you sicken me. Just let me finish my pie ~ Juice
