Its possible that your car peaks in the 40s and that's why it doesn't sound as loud lower. Could even just be the song your playing. Try other low songs. Also like they said check the settings on your headunit.

How about some box and port dimensions.

box is 36 inches wide, 16 inches tall, and 17 inches deep, and the port is 3 inhes wide and is an l port, total length of 25 inches

3" wide 25" long and I would assume 14.5" tall.

here's how my truck reacts to box tunings. i hope this helps you understand what you've got going on.

36 hz box = 45 hz peak (152db outlaw)

31 hz box = 27 hz peak (not metered at top performance)

26 hz box = 26 hz peak (151db legal)
