Like I said sandbagging is gey. If I got it I run it all out so do all of us around here. That's why I would never go to finals. Kinda explains speakmans run how he was climbing up in score then it just fell off. Because he turned it down. Hopefully steve stern will consider a west coast world finals in the future. If he does that would be nice. And id gladly blow my shit going all out

Don't get the whole sandbagging gripe. As mentioned above some guys only put up what it takes to win, what's wrong with that?

If you know 2-3 guys in your class are 3-4dB's louder are you even going to bother going to finals? Most would sit it out is my guess.

A LOT of people actually go all out day in and day out, so if their score is just about on par with a good amount of guys and they KNOW the other sandbagging and that means they'll get KILLED if they every compete with eachother so why bother going to finals?

its all mental games. why post a huge number out of the box? and risk blowing something up when you might need that little bit for someone who's been working and put up numbers they havent touched before. I understand it perfectly.

I burped a 154.6. 20 shows straight then made some changes and burp a 155.8 now. Consistently. I get the concept but still wouldn't do it if I could because there are too many variables with audio. I was consistent how many others can do the same number time and time again?

Ray M, Speakman wasnt sandbagging at all. he finally got back 2 of ab 500.1 from repair after state. he did a 155.1 in his final run.

Ray W, i think S4 was only a 151 but he didnt give it his all, only 1 other car in his class that did a 140.7.

i didnt see a whole lot of sandbagging, most peoples score was down on finals day compared to what they qualified with. most people was popping fuses left or right and there was a lot of reconing going on all weekend. on our M4 van blew a sub friday night metering a 159.3, reconed qualified with a 159.5 in first only to come in 3rd in finals with a 156.1 because fuses wouldnt hold.

Sweet wish I could of made it would of been nice to meet some new competitors that love the sport as I do. Maybe next year. What happened to adam sparks? Did he compete? Also was anyone dqd? I know the judges are strict and the rules are vague. For example I heard that in street class u can't even have extra alternators under the hood even if they're not hooked up, and the metal cutting thing I wonder if they would of dqd me if I cut holes in my cargo area to run 0g up to my batterys

im not talking down on sandbagging just stating the facts for the compititors out here on the west coast we dont sand bag we like to put up our biggest numbers and say BEAT THAT! but after going to finals last year i understand it even more you have to sand bag and keep the comp guessing to even have a chance of winning out there if you post you biggest number guess what you just gave you comp the number he needs to beat to win

Have you ever had your woofers blown?
